About Us

A Boys Day out was created by a family of 2 parents and 2 boys, age 8 and 4. Our aim is to give recommendations to families with children of all ages and abilities, including Special Educational Needs & Disabilities of places to visit, free events, day trips, overnight stays, parks & walks.

We post everything you need to know about a trip before you visit, including the exact location, car parking, time spent there, opening times and a link to their website.

We include if its pram & wheelchair friendly, if they have disabled toilets and baby change facilities, cafe & picnic areas, extra costs whilst there, if there is seating throughout & any SEND sessions.

We give an honest review and try to give as much detail as we can regarding the layout, quieter times for people with sensory needs, any hints & tips before you go.

Our video reels and pictures give you a good idea of the trip before you go.

We also are passionate about fundraising & giving back to our community, so you will see fun days/ sponsored challenges, as well as creative ideas

Great, honest and useful info (the stuff you really need to know about a place before visiting!) is always provided. We also attended the charity event at Burnley Leisure yesterday which was fab! Lots of interesting and fun stands and plenty to do for the little ones, whilst only being charged the price of a cuppa for entry! Thank you for your great work!

"A boys day out put on the most amazing charity day at St Peter’s leisure centre at the weekend. There was so much to do for the children, we literally could have stayed all day! Not to mention the lovely cakes, burger van and coffee van, but also the best raffle set up I have ever seen ( and I’m a sucker for a raffle) we are really looking forward to what else you have in store. Fantastic day for a fantastic cause
