Our Visit

Aimed at younger children upto 12 years old -visited 29th October 2023

The boys loved their Halloween event! They had decorated absolutely everywhere! It was quite cold or else they would have been in fancy dress, it was brilliant.

As you arrive, for anyone with a disability, if you are either entitled to PIP or have a Dr’s letter, you go to the visitor information centre as you walk in on the left, and they issue you and your carer with badges. This entitles you and your children to enter rides through the exit pathway and have minimal waiting time. The only one which you can not enter as a group is the log flumes.

There is a walk through the woods, which leads to the majority of the rides and it was my favourite part! The creepy characters were all around, super friendly and having pictures with the kids. If you wanted a bit of a scare, they would entertain it, but if was based off your reaction. Jonah ran over to Jason and had his picture, Noah wanted a selfie with the clown & they weren’t scared at all. The lady on her hands and knees, BRAVO! You were sooo creepy, crawling on the floor, I must admit I got a little jog on past her.

The maze was also by the woodlands, family friendly, so if you have little ones, you can go and walk around, chat with the characters. If you go AFTER 3pm, they have based the maze for older children and advised there would be jump scares.

You could purchase the trick or treat bags, which gave you access to 3 huts which had cast in and the children recieved little gifts in each to take home. They had a face painting station, lots of characters walking about.

The sing a long Halloween show was on 4 times during the day, you get a leaflet on entry with all the times on.

Lots of different rides for different ages and heights. Our 3 year old is 1m, so he went on the majority – even the log flume! (Number 3). 3 large flumes, 2 of which you needed to be 1.1m for
They had dodgems, caterpillar rides, Alice in wonderland car ride, carousel, dragon boats, elephant flight, pirate ship, hot air balloons, jumping kangaroos, lady bird ride, plus lots more!

The train ride around the park was great! You can get off half way and start at the bottom of the park and go on the rides down there if you wanted. The train has a ramp and access for wheel chairs/ prams to be stored and carried for you

Attractions – Hall of mirrors was great, with lots of distorted images which the boys found hilarious!

Large park and jumping pillows, plenty space for them to run about

Large indoor soft play – free to use – very clean. It has a café so there was plenty seating whilst they play. The toilets with baby change and disabled access were right next door

They have a gift shop, which had toys to suit all budgets. Our boys picked some squishy bats with gel inside for £2.45 each and we had to get a few fridge magnets (we collect them everywhere we go now, and they were only £4 for 2).

Fabulous day, two exhausted parents, two happy boys! Can’t wait to go again
