Our Visit

The boys and their friends enjoyed an exclusive session at Ark Education (May 2023)

If your children enjoy education on animal welfare and animal handling like my boys do, this is a fantastic place to visit

They support a variety of children, including key stage 1-5 mainstream school, SEND, home educated children, those requiring mental and physical health support via animal assisted therapy at the barn

What a hidden gem this place is! Our boys absolutely loved it!

Melissa and Sean, both from a veterinary background, have such love for their animals, as do their two children. Ava was so lovely to the boys, playing with them and guiding them around.

We met the Blacknose Valais Sheep, who came straight over for a stroke. Ghost is the most adorable Alpaca I’ve ever met, who wants to cuddle up and give you a kiss on the cheek! They met George, the Herdwik, Annie the Texel Cross and Cranberry the coloured Ryeland

They sat together, hand fed and stroked the large rabbits, guinea pigs, walked the goats, stroked the alpacas

The children all got to pick an animal to have their own animal footprint keepsake, to take home. Our boys picked Noah the dogs print, the chicken and the goat.

They bottle fed the sheep, helped to wash Peter the duck in his little paddling pool, played on the climbing frame, used all the different bikes, climb in cars, played with bubbles and helped to chop up all the food for the donkeys, rabbits, guinea pigs and helped to feed them.

Noah’s Veterinary Centre is in the barn, where you can weigh the animals, use the stethoscope to hear their heartbeat, do some crafts and enjoy learning all about the animals needs

It’s all person centred and dependant on the participants individual needs. You can join in as much or as little as you want. It’s such a supportive environment,

They also offer parties
School visits
ASDAN certificate courses, for participants who attend between 10-60 hours, in 2 hour periods

Lots to see/ fantastic provision/ amazing staff/ only 12 participants a session

Definitely worth a trip if you haven’t been. They are also developing a large outdoor space,  which looks fantastic.
