Our Visit
Last visited July 2024, where we attended the VIP Press/Media event and it was fantastic!
We have been twice now and the kids love it. It’s huge and so much variety for the kids, depending on their confidence and height. As you arrive, they have a large reception area, selling inflatables, water toys, goggles, costumes. You get given a wristband, which is £7.50 deposit, which you get back at the end of your trip. You can also pre pay money onto it, so that when you go to the cafe, they scan your wristband, rather than trying to take cash with you, which I thought was a great idea. It’s also keyless, which locks your locker for you from a sensor.
Our eldest age 7, went on all the slides! They both absolutely loved it, as did we!
As you come in, there was a family multi slide, 4 slides in total next to each other, where you can all go on together. Our 2 year old could sit on our knee and there’s a little splash at the bottom.
The Cyclone was AMAZING! We went on this about 10 times. You have to be 1.4m to ride independantly, but children 1.2m-1.4m can ride with a parent together. You fly down at 19mph, lots of multi coloured lights, propelled into a dome. It was brilliant and my favourite of all the slides. The storm chaser was similar, with the same height restrictions applying.
Children under 1.1m can ride the super flume, python and black hole accompanied by an adult (over 1.1m can ride independantly). Jonah (3) came on with me, flying down the slide, belly laughing. You do land in a small pool, with Noah (7) able to stand up.
The nucleus ride is single ride only, 1.1m per rider and was brilliant. We were fired up with the water jets, spun around and basically the slide goes all the way around the park. You are in a blue donut for this one. This one was a shallow water exit, with Noah age 6, riding it on his own, getting out independantly.
The space bowl was single riders only and you need to be a strong swimmer for this one, as the exit pool was 2m deep. We did watch Daddy come hurtling down and crashing into the water, (there’s glass around the pool so the kids can watch)
The large swimming pool had a gradual slope, so younger children could sit and splash about in the shallow end. There were water showers/jets for them to enjoy. The waves were great, strong (the best wave pool we have been in). Noah found it fun at the sides, as the waves were even bigger! See reel
There’s a climbing frame by the interactive jungle house, 2 jungle flumes, 3 toddler slides and a pirate boat slide for them to go down, all of which Jonah could do independantly. There were climbing ropes, water jets and step in stones as you got slightly deeper.
The river rapids are for people 1.2m or above
The cafe is right on pool side, with plenty of seating, serving hot and cold food and drinks – see pics for prices.
The Lost Lucy point we thought was great. It is a sign by the seating area, for if your child is lost. They stand next to it and a life guard will come immediately, see pictures.
The changing area was very modern, plenty of space, clean, had vending machine with drinks and snacks, free hairdryers and a self dry pod that you could pay £3 for!
For anyone wanting a day out, this is definitely one for your list. We LOVED it, and can’t wait to go again! Thanks for the invite
