Our Visit

Before our Alpaca experience with Wood End Alpacas, we had a fabulous overnight stay at Wood End Farm

They have two beautiful rooms, both with en-suites

Free wi-fi
TV in both rooms

Large garden with seating and a lovely pond with river fish and goldfish in

Chair lift on the stairs

Large living room and large dining area

Before we had our walk with the alpacas & sheep, we stayed the night at their B&B.
Alison welcomed us as we arrived and showed us around the house, where her family had lived for over a 100 years

In our rooms we had our own free view tv, coffee/tea kettle and bathroom with shower

Throughout the house there was access to Wi-Fi which was great, so we could connect our phones and tablets, as the phone signal was abit hit and miss

After we got settled in, Alison and Bella took us up to their Forrest school area! We could have stayed there all night! It was a great little location in the woods with a campfire and tree logs to sit on

The views were amazing! looking out at the fields and local fells. We got the camp fire going and started roasting some marshmallows, which we stuck inbetween 2 chocolate digestives!

They have got some great ideas and plans coming up for that area, which we will would love to come back to see

We got the torches out and had a walk as the sun was setting, and the boys loved watching the bats flying around. There’s so much wildlife up there, we saw lots of quails and pheasants too. You can walk as far or as little as you want

In the morning, we sat down for a proper homemade breakfast with sausages, bacon, eggs, tomatoes. There was a choice of different cereals, fruit juices, and pots of tea. A great start to the day to get us ready for the alpaca walk

Overall Alison was an amazing host for the couple days we spent there. She is so welcoming and warmly, went out of her way to make us feel very comfortable. (She even came with some warm milk for the boys before bed) The boys were so sad to leave
