Our Visit
Last visited July 2023
We always have an most amazing few days when we visit Sundown Adventureland and Wild Acre Village
Prices vary depending on if you visit at off peak or peak times.
They offer memberships starting at only £75 for the year, (even cheaper if you’re renewing)
(They also have several events days which is discounted – Mother’s Day/ Father’s Day/ grandparents days and service days where tickets are only £10)
If you haven’t been, this is definitely one for your list! And if you want to have a weekend away, (like we did), you can book a few nights stay at the Wild Acre Village
You get FREE PARK TICKETS if you stay in the lodges this year. You feel like a VIP with your own gated entrance!
We spent the opening hours in the theme park, on the rides and parks and then after it closed, went to Crash landings, (restaurant and soft play open until 9pm) where only lodge guests are there (and the same again for breakfast). It’s absolutely huge, with lots for babies, toddlers and older children. The kids went off and played safely, no hustle and bustle, and we all had some tea
The lodges are AMAZING, the best lodge we have stayed in. It was spotless, with all new appliances, cutlery, pots pans, microwave, utensils and even has a tv with Netflix on! There’s towels and the beds are made, soap, biscuits, tea/coffee there when you arrive
The lodges are decorated with woodland animals on the walls, lot of time and love has gone into making Wild Acre Village a family friendly space, where cars park near the entrance rather by lodges, there’s a big park for the kids to play, it has its own reception and shop selling toys/books/food and drinks
We have had a lodge with a hot tub !!! The staff were cleaning and filling it up as we arrived. We went in several times and even all had a 9pm dip! It was so nice and warm, the kids loved it as much as we did
There’s a takeaway menu which you can get delivered to your lodge
Sundown Adventureland is fabulous for children 10 years old and younger. Our boys were both the perfect age for it and were entertained from the start to finish of the trip
The rides are brilliant (our 2 year old went on everything except the drive school where they need to be 3). There’s Rocky Mountain railroad, Christmas sleigh ride, giddy piggies ride, pirate boat ride, ostrich safari ride, Robin Hood ride, tea cups and the tractors, we stayed on the rides and had a second turn each time !
The parks are excellent, with lots of different equipment for the children to play with. There’s parks everywhere! Really well designed and there’s several parks to go on, all different themes (Angry birds, Captain Sandy’s play cove, Fort Apache, Noah’s Ark, Pirate Adventure, Smugglers cove
Everywhere we looked, there was something to entertain the boys. It’s very sensory, with buttons to press which activate something! There’s lots of little houses for them to explore in Storybook village, all fairytales. Inside each is buttons to press for the story to be read.
The Wild West area was brilliant, with a train ride, buildings go explore, horses to climb on, shooting games. Rodeo corral is another soft play area (again amazing design and very large) however no pics as wasn’t open on the Monday when we planned to go in. We went last visit and again a lot of time has gone into to designing it and it had so much variety
There’s seating everywhere, so if you bring a packed lunch or just want to relax, you will have plenty options for where to sit
The staff are so nice and friendly, making effort with the kids. They spent time chatting to us about their Christmas experience and all the events they have on over the year
Highly recommend and we can’t wait to visit again! Ad/PR visit
