Our Visit

Last visited May 2024

Our boys love a visit to Wood End Alpaca’s. Alison and her team are lovely. We have visited twice now in a large private room and they have always tailored out experience to make it so enjoyable for the children and adults.

You can enjoy Alpaca walks, or meet and greets, private experiences and educational trips. They bring their alpacas to weddings & hen parties, can visit care homes and even have their own you tube channel now!

Birthday party packages/ option for decoration and hire of the alpaca room/ party food packages

Well what can I say? We had a blast!

We enjoyed the private experience with our family & friends. The children were all given their own alpaca, with Noah getting Romeo again (his choice), the beautiful alpaca with a heart on his head. Jonah was given their little baby Alpaca Felix, who is under 12 months.

Alison gave a safety briefing before they started, explaining all the do’s & don’ts before they got their alpaca. If you have younger children, parents do need to supervise at all times, as the alpacas can try and group together, have the occasional burst of energy and may kick as a response if someone’s to close to their back end

On our experience, we walked up to the large fields, with the alpacas spreading out a little, which made it better in a larger group. We got lots of strokes and cuddles, hand fed the alpacas and had lots of photo opportunities & then we made our way back down. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and you can walk in the streams and rivers if you like.

We all had food in the Alpaca Room which is a large party room for everyone to sit down and relax – kids had hot dogs, crisps and drinks, adults had sandwiches and hot drinks. We headed back up after lunch to roast marshmallows on the fire pit and play in their large teepee!

They also met the two pigs, who were adorable and they all went in for a stroke and cuddle
Alison has lots of wellies for children and adults to borrow for the experiences if needed, however it was such a lovely day we all were fine in our trainers.

It was such a lovely and unique experience, one we won’t forget
