Conker Wreath

A responsible adult to drill the holes in the conkers – so in this case, Grandad

This week we made our very own conker wreath!

We collected the conkers and the shells at the park & Grandad drilled a hole in each of them. Nanna was on board drawing the paper leaves and we used cardboard to cut the wreath shape and covered it with paper, before putting all the conkers on the string

We wrapped the string of conkers around the wreath (leaving just string at the back) and glued the paper leaves on

The boys painted the leaves with red, orange, yellow and green shades to create an autumn effect

We left it all to dry and it’s now in pride of place at home on display
